Details

The Peperomia Raindrop, also called the Peperomia Polybotrya, coin plant, or coin-leaf peperomia, is sometimes mistaken for the Pilea Peperomioides due to its compact growth habit and thick green leaves. However, if you look closely, you’ll notice the leaves are more teardrop-shaped. Like other peperomias, the Raindrop is a hardy, pet-friendly houseplant, safe to keep around curious cats and dogs.

  • Each plant is unique; size and shape fluctuate by season so all measurements are shown as a range
  • Small plant measures between 6"-10" tall from the soil line to the top of the foliage

Plant Bio

The Peperomia obtusifolia is native to the Tropical Americas and Caribbean, and is in the family Piperaceae. A popular houseplant, it is sometimes called a baby rubber plant because of its thick green leaves. This peperomia is easily propagated via leaf-cuttings, and is able to regenerate after completely dying back to the stem. Like other peperomias, the Obtusifolia is non-toxic, making it safe to keep around your furry friends. Under ideal conditions, it will flower indoors, producing narrow white spikes.
