The Pothos Neon, Epipremnum aureum 'Neon,’ is also known as the Golden Pothos and Taro Vine and shows off heart-shaped neon-green leaves of up to 20’’. It is native to the forest understory of the Solomon Islands and French Polynesia and is therefore most comfortable in climates above 65° F and high humidity levels—consider placing yours in a steamy bathroom or on a pebble tray, or pairing it with other plants. The vines of this easy-care cultivar can grow more than 10 ft. indoors, but if you want to keep your pothos more compact, you can also prune them back throughout the year. Rather unusually, the Neon pothos is somewhat happy living in dark spaces, though it will thrive in bright indirect light conditions. If you choose to propagate your pothos in water, it should not be moved to soil too quickly, whereas a pothos propagated in soil will prefer to stay in soil.
